Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Natasha Bowles, founder of NBPS Virtual Staffing, located in Franklin, TN, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a businesswoman with a knack for solving businessperson's problems as they arise. This ability led me to start my own business, NBPS, and grow my team of Virtual Assistants who support everyone from C-Level executives to creative types such as podcasters, authors, and coaches. NBPS was created in 2016 as a way to bring affordable C-Level assistance by asking clients to only pay for the hours they actually needed instead of a full-time employees. We started working with social media-based clientele and began to expand into working with C-level executives, start-up founders, creative entrepreneurs, and podcasters. In 2019, we began the growth and expansion of the NBPS Team. Our team has branched out into social media management, graphic design, back office help, consulting, bookkeeping, data management, and many other areas, in addition to offering senior-level assistance to those that need to live beyond a 9-5 schedule.

Tell us about yourself

I am a naturally insightful powerhouse of a woman with a perception and vision that looks to make the impossible possible. As an entrepreneur, writer, mother, speaker, executive assistant, and lover of animals who have served on the board of an animal rescue, consultant, and digital nomad, I have provided freedom and exceptional support to my clients since 2016. Often referred to as "Wonder Woman" by my peers, tempt me with your hopes and dreams, and you'll often be met with a smile and the words, "That's crazy! Let's do it!" This attitude led to the creation of Natasha Bowles Professional Services, a remote staffing agency that supports the growth of your business and dreams. My staff supports everyone from C-Level executives to creative types such as podcasters, authors, and coaches.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Building something from nothing. Not only my business but the ripple effect of businesses I have helped create or influenced to grow through using our staffing agency. My success is measured by the success of my clients.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

How personally I take things! This came as a huge surprise because I am so business-focused that I was not prepared to take my client's lessons personally.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Learn how to delegate right away!!
  2. Create and understand your budget. Don't be afraid to make friends with your budget. You are not a bad boyfriend, ignoring it and never taking it out.
  3. Learn how to collaborate, network, and grow a partnership community to help you through the hard times, celebrate the good times, and help your company have a larger impact than you would have alone.
