What's your business, and who are your customers?
At No Exception Boutique, we aim to empower women to feel like ROYALTY no matter how many curves they may have. We carry sizes XS to 3X. Our mission is to highlight everyone's unique beauty in fashion and help them bring it into reality with New, Hot, Trendy, Sexy, and Business wear. No Exception is more than a boutique; we are an experience!
Tell us about yourself
As a child, I always knew I wanted to be an Entrepreneur. I always told my family how I wanted to work for myself. I grew up watching my mother, who was a plus size women love fashion. She loved clothes, shoes, and costume jewelry. A diver she was, rest her soul; I honor her by keeping No Exception Boutique going.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was actually seeing my business grow. Seeing my hard work actually makes another woman happy. When we first started in July 2019, we only catered to plus-size women. Plus-size women who were having a hard time finding top-notch fashion that would have them comfortable and confident. As time passed, my petite women asked me to expand our brand. This when I realize my brand was bigger than me. Our team has grown since 2019, and now we cater to plus size and petite sizes online and in the Memphis metro areas.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is to balance it all out. As a business owner, there will be times where you're so busy that you forget the most important part of it all is FAMILY. Time management goes a long way with being a business owner. You will have to find a balance between family and business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
If you're looking to start a business, go for it, plan it, and do it. Everything will fall into place in the end.
