What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is personal and product branding photography for women entrepreneurs who want to genuinely connect with their clients and audience in meaningful ways to level up their brand.
Tell us about yourself
I started shooting primarily in the niche of branding photography after noticing the need for myself and so many others to have fresh imagery to use across social media to connect with an audience. Cell phone pictures, no matter what kind of phone you have, just won't cut it. I am motivated by my clients, who show up every day using their images to connect. They crush it and have such a professional, polished look to everything they put out because of their investment in quality imagery.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is stepping out of my comfort zone and being an extrovert when it matters to building connections and networking.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Besides accounting, the hardest part is to turn off my brain and not feel the urge to work 24/7.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just do it; even if it's not perfect, just start.
- Have as many proverbial ducks in a row as possible but be ready to be flexible.
- Figure out what makes you different, and make that your calling card!
