What's your business, and who are your customers?
We have a real love of pets and care deeply about their well-being. This inspired us to launch Healthcare for Pets, a site dedicated to helping pet parents obtain reliable advice to make informed decisions about their pet's health and wellness.
We work with passionate animal health professionals and use innovative approaches to develop our tools and resources, including Q&As answered by veterinary technicians and veterinarians, articles, videos, recall information, and the latest research news, all available through various user-friendly formats.
Tell us about yourself
I co-founded healthcareforpets.com about six years ago. I have 30 plus years of experience operating my own businesses in human health, including digital design, content development, e-health, informatics, and technology development. I wanted to bring this experience to animal health which is 3 to 5 years behind human health when it comes to technology and e-health.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Self-funding healthcareforpets.com over the last four years and continuing to develop innovative tools and technology along with producing research-based content.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Motivating yourself every day and maintaining a passion.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Speak to other startups and always do a ton of research. Look to collaborate and look for channel partners.
