What's your business, and who are your customers?
Peak Capital Trading was formed in 2020 as a proprietary and education trading firm. It was founded by veteran traders; our mission is to work with a diverse pool of Canadian, US, and international traders in order to establish a leading firm for trading US stock market equities.
Tell us about yourself
I am a retired Sergeant Major in the US Marine Corps who wanted to find a way to still work and at the same time be able to spend more time with my family. After I started working with Andrew Aziz in a different company, we partnered up with a few other traders, and together we started Peak Capital Trading. What motivates me each day is to provide education to help other people achieve their dreams of financial independence.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment is seeing how our students become better traders and advance their trading knowledge.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hours can be long sometimes, and it can be lonely, especially if you work from home.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Three tips I can give are:
- Start with your "Why" because as long as you keep focused on"Why" you are doing what you're doing, any obstacles that come your way will be easier to overcome.
- Whenever your motivation decreases, never forget to look back at how far you've come cause it will remind you how much you accomplished and provide motivation to keep on going.
- Always put your others first because when people feel appreciated and part of an organization, they are more inclined to stay loyal to you.
