What's your business, and who are your customers?

Remindful Life is a Mindful Living platform supporting parents to develop the skills needed to create a thriving home environment for living & learning for both themselves and their children.

Tell us about yourself

I’ve been an adventurous entrepreneur from an early age. My dreams eventually led me to Indonesia, where I ran an International fashion brand, got married, and had 2 children. As the children got older, I noticed gaps in their learning engagement and skill development for the future. Our family chose to dive into Self Directed Learning with our two children, and it altered my personal trajectory.

I became so intrigued that I began my own studies, a Master in Transformative Learning, focused on experiential learning, transformation, creativity, flow, and family dynamics. Now I help parents mindfully raise children to flourish individually and support them in creating a thriving family environment through workshops, online courses, and 1-on-1 coaching.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment in business is supporting and connecting parents through our online courses. This experiential style of learning has led to deep personal insights and, ultimately, flourishing & connected families.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is finding your own stride in business marketing. We tend to look externally for advice on how to promote our services or products, but it takes an internal look to find our personal style and a sweet spot that promotes the business but also makes us feel alive. It takes a lot of trial and error and failure to figure this out.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Be yourself. Listen to the advice of others but choose to follow through with what resonates and feels engaging to you.
2. Be willing to experiment and put yourself into challenging positions. This is where the growth is.
3. Don’t give up. Entrepreneurialism isn’t for the faint of heart. Keep trying and choose to find joy in the exploration. It’s a long game.
