Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sharad Mehta, Founder and CEO of REsimpli LLC., located in Highland, IN, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own a software company that is used by real estate investors.

Tell us about yourself

Who started REsimpli?

REsimpli is founded by Sharad Mehta, a very active real estate investor. Sharad has done over 600 deals in the last ten years since he became a full-time real estate investor, and over the years, he has developed systems to automate many parts of his real estate investing. Sharad is a very active investor in Lake County, Indiana market, and he manages his entire business from Toronto, Canada, where he lives. Using the systems that Sharad has developed, he is able to manage 3-4 rehabs a month from a distance.

Why did we create REsimpli?

We were frustrated by the fact that we had to use multiple software to run one business, and none of that software really spoke well with each other. There had to be a better way, and REsimpli was created.

What do we do?

We have created a super SIMPLE-to-use business management software for real estate investors that provide you with the most POWERFUL numbers about your business, which helps you make BETTER decisions.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping my customers close more deals using my software.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I feel like in the industry we are in, customers tend to lose motivation quite easily. I find it difficult to motivate my customers to follow the right process.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Niche down your product and become an authority in that niche before expanding.
  2. Review your numbers on a week-to-week basis, i.e., marketing, accounting, and customer support reports.
  3. Always listen to your customer's pain points and prioritize them first while developing your software.
