What's your business, and who are your customers?
Savory and sweet charcuterie grazing tables, boards, boxes, cups, etc., for all occasions. My customers are those who are looking for a unique gift to send that is not the typical flowers & chocolate. Or those who are looking to host a party or get-together and ‘wow’ their guests by the presentation of fresh and delicious food!
Tell us about yourself
It was actually a Tiktok video from a fellow charcuterie designer (IG: https://instagram.com/sweetspreadsbyjen). I was scrolling through late one night and saw her video on designing charcuterie boxes. I immediately thought to myself; I’d love to do that! I’ve always loved to cook and host parties/gatherings. I messaged her, and she gave me great advice and tips. By the next day, I thought of a name, created a logo, website & Instagram page. Orders started coming in before my launch date! This business allows me to feed people and be creative all at once! The love that I have for both of these things will show up in each of my designs.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Juggling it all and loving every minute of it! A cool accomplishment- I received an order from Nickelodeon only two months into my business! The Executive VP found me on Instagram!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Finding the balance! Working a 9-5 as a Salon Business Specialist (sales), running a business, and caring for a family. I love all three dearly and love the different roles I have in each, which is why I don’t know how to “turn off” ever.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just do it! Don’t hesitate.
- Be humble show gratefulness to your clients.
- Provide fresh ingredients, be punctual, have integrity & structure.
