Deep Healing, Liberation, and Freedom - Shelby Valentine

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Shelby Manning, Owner and CEO of Shelby Valentine LLC., located in Sedona, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is called Shelby Valentine LLC. I work with spiritual women on their path who are seeking deep healing, liberation, and freedom. There are two main legs to my business. Life coaching and healing in the forms of somatics, energy work, somatic breathwork, Goddess Yoga, and more. And business coaching for intuitive women building service-based businesses online and in-person, desiring to build 6-figure + businesses and serve their unique medicine to the world.

Tell us about yourself

What motivates me every day is witnessing my clients and community take risks, listen to their bodies for the first time, pattern interrupt the deepest, oldest patterns, and start to love themselves, their bodies, their businesses, and their lives more than ever before. It is profound to witness their transformations on a daily basis. I feel super grateful to be doing the work I do in the world.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think my biggest accomplishment as a CEO is going from zero to six figures in year one and continuing to grow for the past 3 years, working fewer hours, feeling more myself, and having more impact than ever before. My devotion to my business and the building phase is the thing I'm the proudest of.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I think the hardest thing is finding a balance between work and life. When your work is your Soul Mission, it makes it very hard to step away from. I'm learning balance and that there are seasons of more work and more play/life, being in my REAL life in person.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Invest in a mentor way before you feel ready. Like yesterday.
  2. Practice, get the hours in, get the training in. Get feedback and finesse your skills and offerings in every capacity.
  3. Decide that your success is inevitable, and burn down/cut anything out that doesn't support your vision. Be obsessed with your vision and mission. In my opinion, it's the only way.
