What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Mindfulness coach, and I conduct mindfulness workshops for school students. The specialization includes conducting workshops and developing content on mindfulness for school students. It is designed to nurture mindfulness and incorporate its practice into daily life.

Tell us about yourself

I am a self-motivator with strengths like initiative, perseverance, excellent analytical skills, and presentation skills, who have a passion for doing meaningful work in the field of Education. I have nearly 15+ years of experience working for the best educational organizations in the U.K., India, and Canada. Currently, I am involved in writing my Ph.D. thesis. I heard about this term for the first time in 2014. After doing some research, I developed an interest in this. When I incorporate this into my students, I get to see improved academic performance and metacognitive skills.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is developing a successful mindfulness intervention for students that yielded significant results enhancing their meta-cognitive skills (viz. declarative knowledge, conditional knowledge, procedural knowledge, planning, monitoring/self-regulation, and evaluation), which in turn improved their overall learning experience and resulted in improved academic performance. Further, since the mindfulness-based activities are simple and easy to carry out, these can be easily and effectively incorporated into the school curricula.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is to remain self-motivated and have self-belief.
