What's your business, and who are your customers?
Simple Start Nutrition, operated by two Registered Dietitians, provides nutrition counseling services to anyone who is interested in making diet and lifestyle changes to improve overall health.
Tell us about yourself
The thought of Simple Start Nutrition originated during the COVID pandemic with the desire to help others through our knowledge of the connection between food and the human body. I am motivated each day by each individual's drive and passion for making improvements to their lives to keep their minds and bodies happy and healthy for years to come.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Continuing to grow! We frequently take on new challenges and collaborations with other companies to share our knowledge of nutrition.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
My primary background is in health and science, not business. So I would say the hardest thing is finding the resources to expand the understanding of how to run a business. Thankfully Simple Start Nutrition has great resources and family and friends to provide assistance and resources.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your research and determine your goals.
- Communicate with others. Talk to others in your profession, friends, and family about what interests them to help you expand your business.
- Be okay with rolling with the punches. Not everything is going to go perfectly, but know that the resources you need can be found!
