Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Stefano Benvenuti, Founder of Simsol srl, located in Rome, Italy.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a funnel builder and a course creator. I help consultants and senior manager to shift their skills to a course they can earn from. My business follows a framework I created in the last years of experience, with over 50 customers that helped me put focus only on strategies that worked well. I take each customer by the hand and add clarity to their track.

My service name is Estrazione Digitale, it's Italian and means Digital Extraction. All the needed assets to create a course or to start a digital business are always hidden inside the ground. You just need to know how to get them out without wasting time and resources. Using Digital and Marketing Automation, I guide customers in the creation of a digital business that creates passive income.

My customers are managers and entrepreneurs that understand how the world goes and don't want to be overcome by the last new entry and want to maintain their top position investing to shift their skills in courses that can generate income online.

Tell us about yourself

I have been an entrepreneur since 2007 and started working in the Loyalty for retail companies. Because, in actuality, the customer stays the real power of each company. The cool part of my work, past and actual, is that I can measure everything. Only by measuring your results can you improve them.

In 2013 I started using Marketing Automation, and I was an Infusionsoft certificate partner, but since 2018 I shifted, and now I use Kartra because I prefer simple tools in an all-in-one logic. Now I am a Kartra Expert and a Kartra Affiliate.

What I love about my job is having the opportunity to get in contact with very skilled people that reach that point where they decide to scale in a different direction. The best way to scale for those who have good knowledge is to use it and transform it into a course or consultant work. To have the ability to get my customers rid of anxiety make me feel conscious about how my work can be useful to so many people.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am very proud of the results achieved, but what makes me feel I have achieved success is mainly represented by the opinion of my clients. In 2020 I published my book "Alt" a Fedeltà which explains how to keep customers and make them come back to buy. Many collaborations were born from this, and thanks to them, I developed my business by dedicating myself to Marketing Automation.

Today, thanks to the Estrazione Digitale program, I have reached the awareness that I can simplify the lives of many entrepreneurs who want to transform their knowledge into digital but don't know how to do it.

What is one of the hardest things that comes with being an entrepreneur?

Certainly, loneliness is the most difficult but common feeling that affects every entrepreneur. For this reason, even the most performing entrepreneur needs to discuss and share their ideas among equals.

A lot of work is often required for activities that do not produce income, but without which, a business cannot exist. Unfortunately, these activities and most of the choices are not shared or shareable with anyone but themselves.

An entrepreneur is a dreamer who has a vision of what doesn't exist and works to achieve it. We all know how often dreamers are judged. How crazy! I know many entrepreneurs who had crazy ideas, and only after a lot of work and sacrifice were they able to make them come true. I love working with them because they are the ones who have a lot to teach those who have not yet realized their dreams.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always keep your accounts in order. This means that you must divide each income to allocate a part to cover the costs, income, and taxes that derive from that income—all time.
  2. Create your customer list. Whenever you are talking to someone who could be your potential client, or whether you are visiting a trade show or whatever, try to get emails from people you think could buy your services and write to them. Blog regularly, curate a podcast, or send out weekly newsletters. If you don't communicate, you don't exist.
  3. Study. Never stop training. Try to stay up to date with news and trends in your industry. Only by studying will you feed your imagination and will you be able to create and always decide for the best.
