What's your business, and who are your customers?

Songbird Productions is a video, photo, and animation production company that creates the most engaging stories for anyone who needs to educate their customers or inspire their clients.

Tell us about yourself

I started working as a freelance photographer and videographer. Once I was well established, I wanted to increase my impact. So I've hired a team to do just that! I'm motivated by the results our clients see - especially those in higher education. If the work we do inspires someone to enroll in school or learn something new, then that's a success.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say that building the business has been my biggest accomplishment; it has become a conduit for important stories.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is the stress of the feeling that everything depends on me. The other side is that it's a tremendous opportunity for personal growth.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

If you have the time, financial means, and support to start a business, then I suggest trying it out. There hasn't been a more accessible time in history to make it happen!
