Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Suzanne Letourneau, an author, international speaker, and marketing strategist based in Brampton, ON, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

For the past 18 years, I have been in the coaching business of helping women entrepreneurs who feel disconnected from their passion and the true meaning of their lives so they can have more energy, more money, and more fulfilling relationships.

Through these years, my coaching has evolved into something totally transformational not only for the women entrepreneurs but for each one of us who dares to dive into the discovery of who we truly are. Through an honest exploration of your present situation, either personal or professional, we question all and everything with curiosity and gentleness, without judgment of any kind, we give oxygen to your visions, and we dare you to implement new waves, find your wings, and SOAR.

Tell us about yourself

I became an entrepreneur at the age of 15 and haven’t stopped since. I’ve had multiple “brick and mortar” businesses through the years, but it was only after the agonizing loss of my last business OraOxygen, the first Wellness airport spa in the world, that I had to stop and introspect. This experience was not painful. It was devastating.

Not only did I lose millions, but I also lost my confidence, I lost my self-esteem, I lost my ‘raison d’être,’ my soul’s purpose. So, I started to do some serious inner work and realized that I needed to find my true self in order to move forward. After five long years of research, questioning, and training, I found answers to all my questions, which I share openly in my book “SOAR with Vulnerability - 11 Insights to the full Enjoyment of Your Life”.

This book has changed my life. By sharing my story, I allowed other people to also share their stories and embrace their own vulnerability. Coaching is a two-way experience that allows both the coachee and the coach to grow through the journey together.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment in my coaching business is to be the witness to the healing and the growth of each of my clients, to watch them take action, and to finally free themselves to reveal their uniqueness.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Recognizing the full value of what we have to offer and translating it into a monetized format. Also learning to work on the business, not in the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure you have a business plan, detailed strategies, and a marketing plan. Above all, be clear about your WHY. Your why is your motivation that will keep you going in challenging times.
