What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an entrepreneur for internal and external health. My business is to arrange and teach yoga retreats all over Europe. My clients are mostly European - English, Finnish, and German-speaking clients.
Tell us about yourself
I am a teacher with over 30 years of experience. I started as a dancer and did dance teaching. This evolved into pilates and fitness, and now yoga. I am motivated by the people that join my classes - when I hear their testimonials about the changes in their bodies or minds, changes that have been inspired by the work I do; this is the reward.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think it is the gift of being recommended to others that are looking for a helping service.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
If you don't do the work, money is not coming in. In network marketing, there is a chance of earning from subscriptions.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be brave and just do it! There are many more advantages to having your own business than working for another.
- Find support! Create a team. Surround yourself with friends and people who can encourage you. Find mentors that think likewise.
- Trust that you being you is enough. This was important for me to understand. That I am unique as me, and my kind of service has value. Everyone has their own touch, style, and way that has their own audience.
