What's your business, and who are your customers?

Synced Digital is a team of dedicated professionals providing cutting-edge search engine marketing solutions and digital marketing strategies. We transform companies and create innovative design experiences on a local and global scale.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Chase Miller, and I am the founder and CEO of Synced Digital. I got started in the marketing space a few years ago with dropshipping and was always fascinated with the potential of building a business online. However, I never meant to start a marketing agency, and it essentially started itself.

It all started with a family friend looking for some assistance with their Twitter engagement and knew I was involved with social media and thought I could help. I gladly took on the role and was able to get them some great results. At the time, I was teaching myself how to build websites, and I offered to revamp their website for free. They loved the remodel some much that they referred me two a few other businesses that I was able to close quite easily. This is where it all began. Believe it or not, my first six clients were all from referrals, and I am only now focusing more on lead generation to continue a positive growth trend for my business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is taking that leap of faith to believe in myself. There are many avenues to go in life, and you never truly know which is the best path to take. The one thing I do know is that owning your own business gives you the most control over your future, and with a great work ethic, determination, confidence, and great networking skills, you will be set up for success.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about being a business owner is the uncertainty of what is next. Your entire business can change for the better or worse over a day. It is also hard to know what to do all the time, and you are constantly relying on yourself to make big decisions. This can be very stressful, but it can also be very rewarding.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Dive in head first. Figure out if you like it now instead of two years from now. Don't waste your own time.
  2. Schedule your weeks. Being organized is going to set you up for success. Don't sit around thinking about what you should be doing next. Run a tight ship.
  3. Network. Having a solid network can be the difference between running a successful business, to having a business that fails. Have as many people in your corner as possible.
  4. Do business the right way and be a good person.
