What's your business, and who are your customers?

Synnovatia is a strategic coaching firm serving B2B professional service firms caught in "the messy middle" punctuated by stagnant or slowed growth, dwindling cash flow, a withering talent pool, and missed opportunities.

Tell us about yourself

My daily source of motivation and inspiration is my clients. They're smart, ambitious, and dedicated to being the best for themselves and their team. They make me better. Working with them is a true joy and daily delight. My Dad was a small business owner who struggled more than needed to grow his business because few people wanted to work with small business owners due to their small budgets. I promised to be a source of support for the SBO to limit their degree of unnecessary struggle as they sought help to grow their organizations.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is that of my clients - playing a small role in one business experiencing a 25% YOY increase in growth or celebrating with a client who achieved her best growth in 12 years, or watching the personal, professional, and business growth of an SBO who struggled for years and now is growing in leaps and bounds.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Business growth in a silo - by oneself - is hard!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My top 3 tips for those running and growing a business today are:

  1. What got you here likely won't get you there. Whether it's strategy, mindset, or skill set, one needs to upgrade to continue growing. Don't use "old technology" to achieve "new levels of growth."
  2. Don't grow alone or in a silo. Join a mastermind of your peers for their perspective, experience, and expertise. It will accelerate your growth.
  3. Take time to think strategically and plan each week. It'll give you the clarity needed for small business decisions, save time and treasure, and move you more quickly to your objective.
