Tell us about yourself

Initially, I didn't have the capital to get into E-commerce, so a friend of mine suggested to me that I should go for Digital Marketing, save the money earned and leverage it to get into E-commerce. But as I was progressing in the Digital Marketing world, I fell in love with the process and started to love what I was doing. The fact that I possess the ability and flexibility to do what I want, whenever I want to do it. Asides from this, having a business also gives me the necessary motivation I require. You see, a business is a responsibility, and each time I remember this fact, I go to the full-throttle because I am in charge of the future of the business and the people who rely on my business to prosper. And lastly, the need to make a positive impact on society gives me the will to move forward and achieve the goals I have set in life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I get hundreds of messages every month from all over the world from people who have made a change in their life for the better, and the direction of happiness has given me great fulfillment. Not the money, not the awards that I have won, not the articles anybody has written about me but being able to have a transformative impact on people, that, for me, has been the greatest reward and accomplishment in this whole journey as a business owner.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Like David DiNardo said, "One of the hardest things you'll have to face as a business owner is dealing with the unknowns. Every day there will be new challenges and obstacles to deal with. Business is never predictable, no matter how prepared you are."

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Patience & Consistency & Execution is everything.
  2. I believe that to win in the macro, one has to be patient enough as good things take time to build, and without being consistent, that is nearly impossible to happen. But for any of the other two principles to take place, one needs to execute the idea that they have.
  3. It's insane how many wildly successful are not talented, smart, or lucky. They just executed while everyone talked themselves out of it.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Aspiring entrepreneurs focus on materialistic or monetary values that they forget "happiness and peace of mind" is the real success. Most individuals (myself too) work so hard that they neglect their health. Without your health, your wealth won't matter. All you need to do is focus on what you love to do and take good care of your health.
