What's your business, and who are your customers?

We created whimsical bakery candles that resemble lifelike replicas of parfaits, cupcakes, and all things bakery. Our customers are foodies, candle, and pastry lovers.

Tell us about yourself

I started working on the business back in 2011; I wanted to create something unique and fun around candle making. What motivates me every day is showing up for my customers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment is seeing my idea come from concept to prototype to actual marketplace.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Learning to juggle so many hats at one time while trying to be efficient in them all.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Pace yourself and be patient; nothing happens overnight.
  2. Take the time to educate yourself on your industry.
  3. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small or big, it's an accomplishment, and you should celebrate!
