What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are merchants of Gourmet Provisions and Fine Kitchenware. Our customers are locals and tourists alike who value quality kitchenware and hand-picked gourmet provisions.

Tell us about yourself

Constance is a graduate of the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, a Cordon Bleu affiliate. We both left work in the financial industry to pursue owning our own culinary business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Surviving, Prospering, Adapting, and working with a spouse for 15 years!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Finding the right people to work for you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1.) Plan to make no money for two years and be happy if you do.
2.) Listen to your clientele for out-of-the-box ideas.
3.) Stay above the fray; always be kind.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Business ownership is enhanced by having the right partner and team. Be sure to care for yourself and the team, and don't ask too much from either.
