Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ashley Dawson, Founder of The Healing Tribe Community, located in Windsor, ON, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Healing Tribe Community is a place I created where people can come and seek alternative medicine and healing methods for a whole body-focused healing approach. It is a place that provides human connection, support, and healing on a deep level.

Our target customers are those who are looking for a path outside the traditional systematic medical healing approach and looking for a more sustainable, long-term healing solution for the physical, mental, and energetic health aspects of the overall health.

Tell us about yourself

I am a 30-year-old health practitioner who has dedicated my life to helping others heal themselves and achieve their optimal health to thrive the most in their life and within themselves.

I had noticed that people were getting tired of feeling ill and not having a sustainable healthy solution for the issues that would arise in their health. I then took it upon myself to create a business that would provide them with a path they could take to make the changes necessary to live a better, healthier life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner would have to be the reaction of gratefulness I experience when people find me and my business. Seeing the powerful impact that what I have created has positively affected people's lives is an accomplishment in itself.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is keeping up with the technologies related and necessary to reach your audience. It is important, however, to maintain up-to-date with the technologies to reach your audience so that we can ensure we are doing everything we can to pave a path for people to find us and others who can help them on their healing journey. Making it easy for people to reach out for help is one of the most important things to me in regard to being a business owner.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top three tips I'd give to someone starting, running, and growing a business would be to write all your ideas down, find supportive and knowledgeable mentors to guide you, and network as much as possible through as many different means as possible.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I want people to know that there are people out there like myself dedicating our lives to truly helping people heal and better themselves on a deep level to create a more sustainable future internally and externally from ourselves.
