Tell us about yourself

So most people who know me, know that I love anything related to skincare but more so how much I am into natural products. From my household, to what I eat, to my every day lifestyle, to my very own skin I always take a natural approach. That mixed with my passion for DIY projects. Well, what do you do when you are driven by creativity, your industry shuts down due to a pandemic (with no sight of opening) and blessed with all the time in the world… you put your passion into motion and turn it into a reality… And VIOLA a new company emerges! That's what this is and I would like to introduce you… the ISLAND MOON co.

I started this company to help people with skin issues just like myself. I cannot pin point the exact moment I realized my own skin issues, but I have dealt with them for what feels like my whole life.

From trying hundreds of body/face creams, to realizing I am allergic to most chemicals added to products, the only logical thing for me to do was to create my own.  In doing so, I quickly realized the need for an affordable, organic and eco-friendly body care line that can be available to everyone.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Our biggest accomplishment to date would be getting this company up and running during the 1st lockdown of a pandemic and still being here almost 2 years later.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is dividing your time properly to create a balanced work/non work life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1) Just start… it’s the hardest but best.

2) Stay true to you and your vision.

3) It’s never going to be easy, so be in for the long haul.
