What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Mindful Chef is a personal chef service. We accommodate anyone looking to elevate their gathering with professional chef services and so much more.
Tell us about yourself
I have been working in the restaurant industry for over 20 years, 17 of which I have been cooking professionally. In 2021 I was throwing in the towel and leaving the restaurant industry for good when I have presented an opportunity to be a personal chef for an event. After the event, I knew that being a personal chef was my calling and that I should have pursued this career a long time ago. At the beginning of 2022, I launched The Mindful Chef, and it has become a greater success than I ever imagined. Being my own boss and getting to work on my own terms has been done. I do not ever picture myself working for someone else ever again. I am proud to be a business owner!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building the business itself. I was able to overcome the fear of leaving my comfortable job, overcome my self-doubt, and the uncertainty of unfamiliar territory. One of the greatest decisions I have ever made!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Self-discipline and procrastination.
