Interested in starting your entrepreneurial journey but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Curtis Stamp - Founder of both The Goal Achiever Academy and Dust ‘til Dawn Commercial Cleaning Services - based in Toronto, Canada.

What's your business and who are your customers?

I am an entrepreneur and a personal development and success mentor.

You know when people set goals year after year and make no progress on them? Struggling much longer and harder than they have to? Allowing fear and self doubt to keep them stuck?

I get it, I was once there. I discovered how to permanently change this. Now I teach others how go from stuck with results that don’t change, to living an abundant life filled with health, wealth and happiness by taking control of their thinking.

Tell us about yourself

I have been an entrepreneur since I was about 14 became a full-time entrepreneur in my early 20's.

Money and time freedom really motivated me at the beginning. I wanted to never have to worry about money again, have more than a couple of weeks to travel a year, and spend my days how I like them doing what I want.

Fast-forward many years later - many coaches, programs, much blood, sweat, and tears, hundreds of thousands of dollars invested, and a diploma from the school of hard knocks I found that working with the mind was the real missing ingredient in my life both personally and professionally.

As I started to understand how the mind works, how it impacts virtually everything we do, I started to shift how I think and my beliefs. As a result, my personal and professional life changed and changed dramatically. I became much happier, healthier, and wealthier.

I was accomplishing more in a shorter period of time, I have developed incredible relationships, and work and life have become so much more effortless and rewarding. So, long story short - I realized that change does not have to be so gruelling and long and that other people need to understand this.

They need to know that the desires they have locked up inside of them can and will become their reality if they do certain things. I stumbled upon my purpose of helping others achieve their goals. What motivates me is helping others get what they want.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

That's a tough one there are two that are tied I think - creating a self-managing company and being able to retire my mother.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Another great question - I would say getting comfortable with being uncomfortable and embracing uncertainty...

What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1) If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand. REFUSE to let others, past or current circumstances hold you back.

2) Don't let not knowing the "how" stop you (the start stops most people)

3) Invest in a solid mentor/coach to help compress time and save you from many struggles

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I think most people are operating nowhere near their potential. Their programming has virus code/faulty messages about their potential that they accepted as true. Usually from a well-meaning parent(s) or those that raised them.

As a result, they never truly go after what it is they want to do, be or have. I don't care what age you are, it's never too late to start.
