What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are The Space, located in Brighton, MI. We are a Fitness Based Yoga Studio. We welcome all ages, genders, and levels of experience!
Tell us about yourself
I had always dreamed of operating my own Studio. Being in the yoga community for almost 20 years, I have practiced at and taught at a wide variety of places. Many different experiences left me with an ache to create my own place. One of my life's greatest desires is to share the power of the practice and guide people back to themselves one breath at a time.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
At The Space, we work really hard to differentiate ourselves by offering a wide variety of services and practices that all center around leaning into the self. From workshops, events, 1:1 coaching, energy work, and even our small retail selection, everything is carefully curated to promote a well-rounded, holistic lifestyle on all fronts.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I think the hardest thing in any business is staying in your own lane! Whether it be business to business or customers and their varying needs. Remembering that we can ALL shine and that there is space to be held for ALL of us! We work really hard at The Space to hold space for all involved and all influenced, in the midst of it being a very human experience!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I firmly believe in "Team Work is Dream Work!". Getting a really good team of people that see the vision, support the vision, and offer their own too. It truly takes a village to create magic. We are better together!
