Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Regan Heinrichs, Founder of The Wardrobe Edit by Regan, located in Loveland, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Wardrobe Edit by Regan is a 1:1 personal shopping & fashion styling service. It's a space where women can come to feel empowered to make informed decisions on their wardrobes, where they learn to put their best selves forward & find their inner confidence through clothing choices. Women of all ages, sizes, incomes, etc., are celebrated here for all that they are & all that they hope to be.

Tell us about yourself

I grew up in the midwest with little access to fashion, but I would read every magazine cover to cover and dream about immersing myself in that world. My mom, an entrepreneur and small business owner, always inspired me to go after what I wanted, and fashion was always it. We'd often skip school to drive an hour and a half to our nearest Mall and spend the whole day together. Fashion has always been seen as a form of bonding & connection for me, and that's exactly what TWE has come to be.

I've spent the past ~9 years working in Fashion in the luxury fashion space & small business focused. I've lived in LA, NYC, and now Colorado, where I myself have been through many different lifestyle changes that have affected my style & how I want to show up in the world. I personally know how much confidence fashion & personal style brings me, and I want to do the same for my clients.

I have a true passion for what I do, and my clients motivate me daily. To know the feeling of being stuck in your style & wardrobe and being able to help my clients navigate that challenge makes me feel incredibly grateful and lucky. It's truly the reason I show up daily.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping 50+ women & counting address their style concerns head-on and help them achieve confidence through their wardrobes.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Not being able to "turn off" or "log out" at a certain time. It's a never-ending grind & it can be difficult to know when to set boundaries or take a break, but it's also what keeps me motivated: knowing my daily work helps drive results.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Launch fast & learn as you go. It doesn't need to be perfect; just start and tweak along the way.
  2. Stay consistent. Whatever you do, be consistent with it. It'll show to your clients & your business results.
  3. Mindset > everything else. You can be "doing" all the right things, but if you don't have a growth mindset, you'll likely never see the results you want.
