What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own The Art of Business, a full-service marketing agency with a global team of passionate marketing experts who bring a wide range of creative and technical skills to our client's projects with the focus of helping them grow. Our clients have established businesses that require high-level marketing services from strategy to execution.

Tell us about yourself

I have a passion for challenges and love thinking outside of the box. I started very small with social media management and quickly realized that I excel when it comes to marketing strategy. Upon that realization, I built the rest of my marketing team and vetted everyone myself, and the business grew exponentially. Every day is different, and everyone is doing what they love. Being able to get our client's tangible results that show ROI is what motivates me each and every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Doubling revenue year after year for the past four years and being awarded a top women-owned business globally by in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Letting go of things and letting others do it, I have been burned in the past by my executive team, and getting over that and learning to trust again has been challenging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Set goals and make decisions based on whether the outcome will contribute to or deter from your ultimate goal.
  2. Have a solid marketing plan and be slow to hire and quick to fire.
  3. Running a business requires endurance through the good times and the bad; the key is never to quit striving toward those goals.
