Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Traci Mausolf, Founder of Thrive With Mindfulness LLC, located in Menifee, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Thrive With Mindfulness LLC helps parents and caregivers, such as teachers or daycare providers, find calm through mindfulness.

Tell us about yourself

As a young mom and busy elementary school teacher, I took a mindfulness class to help me cope with my own stress and overwhelm. I immediately noticed how much better I felt, and I wanted to help others learn how mindfulness could help them as well.

At Thrive With Mindfulness LLC, we offer an 8-Week course called 'The Mindful Parent Program,' which will guide you through the basics of starting a personal mindfulness program and help you, step by step, to apply what is learned to the relationships within the immediate family unit or the classroom. Participants also receive one FREE individual session, a personalized self-care routine for themselves and their families, program-related resources, and membership in a supportive community of like-minded parents.

The vision of Thrive With Mindfulness LLC is that we cannot have peace within our families and classrooms if we are not at peace with ourselves. This vision motivates me every second of every day. When parents and caregivers make the connection that this simple yet powerful practice can transform their pain into more balance, joy, and confidence, it is the most amazing moment to witness. I will never tire of this. And best of all, when they implement mindfulness into their routines and lifestyles, the children in their care begin to follow their example.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing our audience grow rapidly and having such a positive response to our monthly Mindfulness Meetups. We like to have a mix of both local and in-person events, as well as online events, so that people from all over can join in as well.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Managing my time wisely. I am still fairly new to this, and I do not have any employees. I am the CEO, the mindfulness coach, the writer, the marketer, the content developer, and the social media manager. Finding a balanced work rhythm that allows me to do all these things well while still enjoying my free time with my family is definitely a juggling act.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Remind yourself of your vision every day. This will keep you motivated when things get challenging.
  2. Know who your ideal client is and make sure you design your business accordingly.
  3. Find ways to save time. Automating as much as you can within your budget is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
