Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food and beverage but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Zach Franklin, Director of Growth at Tiny Organics, located in New York City, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Tiny, we're on a mission to shape the palates of a generation to prefer and love vegetables from their earliest days. Tiny is the only vegetable-first, low-natural sugar option on the market.

Tell us about yourself

I was drawn to Tiny Organics from my own experience as a child raised in a single-parent household that did not always have convenient accessibility to healthy food options. The opportunity to make a tangible impact on the development of future generations and improve the available food options for young children is a strong motivator for me in the work that I do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

While I am not the founder or owner of Tiny Organics, I do feel the sense of ownership and pride that comes with having a hand in shaping the palettes of the millions of children that are born in the US each year. The volume and scale of our operation have to be the biggest accomplishment that I can think of.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing to reconcile is being okay with not having all the right answers. I think it's important to be comfortable with being uncomfortable if you wish to last as an entrepreneur.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do it! - Starting is the hardest part, both physically and mentally.
  2. REST - Sleep is your superpower as an owner/operator. Sound decisions rarely come on the heels of a sleepless night.
  3. Ask Lots Of Questions - You don't know what you don't know.
