What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a tea shop offering all-natural loose leaf teas, teawares, and zen/meditation items and serving tea drinks. Our customers are regular and beginner tea drinkers and people who practice a wellness lifestyle. We believe tea is beneficial to both of your physical and mental health. In ancient China, tea, as a medicinal drink, was associated with Zen meditation for its cleansing and soothing traits. We are here to help our customers to “pick up your tea and put down your worry.”
Tell us about yourself
I love tea and love the culture and philosophy behind the tea. I believe tea is a joy and would love to bring this joy to more and more people by helping customers to find their perfect cup of tea.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The vibe of serenity and joy we created at the store for our customers is my biggest accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Every business has its set of challenges: finding the right merchandise, optimal display in the store, inventory management, etc. The biggest challenge right now is to find, train, and motivate employees. When you find one that truly shares your passion, all that effort is worthwhile and becomes a joy.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Always do what you love.
- Always do what you know.
- Top-quality merchandise and customer services are the top priority.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
All the efforts of running a small business are well worth it. Remember to follow your heart, and money will take care of itself.
