I am a licensed life insurance agent and long-term care specialist for Transamerica.
Tell us about yourself
I got started in the business about 3 1/2 years ago. My neighbor is the Regional Managing Director and was looking for a part-time recruiter. I was looking for a job! After two years, I transitioned to Sales full-time. I love protecting families in the event of the unexpected! My background is in education, so it’s a natural transition.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Last year, I was the number one independent agent in our office! But most importantly, it protects families in case something unexpected happens.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Managing motherhood and running a business! It’s a constant juggle. :-)
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Never stop growing! Always be willing to learn and read.
- Have a positive mindset. It goes a long way.
- Put in the work, and you will see results!
