What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a transfer builder focused on supporting research labs at universities and tech centers, deep tech & Hard Science Spin-offs. Our costumers? Governments, corporations, investors, universities, and researchers.
Tell us about yourself
I started as an entrepreneur 20+ years ago in Venezuela, and after living in the IS, Panama, Colombia, and now in Spain, having launched 20+ companies in that period of time, I'm so excited to be able to share my knowledge and experience, with such wonderful and smart professionals, like the researchers, finally giving the society, own a part of the Innovation created at universities and research centers.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To have launched our first spin-off in less than 15 months since the creation of TRL+ and to be able to work with such amazing individuals like my partners.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
To keep learning every day, maintaining the focus, and not losing sight of our objective of becoming the best translators between the academia and the business world.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Money is the less important factor because if you and the project are ready, money will follow.
- To keep the focus, do one thing, and once you are the best at it, then you can include a new thing.
- The best partners share the same essence, values, and principles; if at the beginning there are differences in these subjects, finish the relationship immediately.
