Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food service but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ginny Chapman, Owner of Turtle Soup Chef, located in Trabuco Canyon, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a personal chef with several weekly clients. These clients are busy professionals or people who just don’t like to cook or don’t have time to cook but still want healthy, good-tasting meals for their families.

Tell us about yourself

I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School of Arts in Las Vegas. I tried the restaurant scene for a while but decided that being a personal chef fits my life better. It’s never boring because I cook something different every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Probably my biggest accomplishment is that I have been cooking for all of my clients for several years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Pricing! I want to charge what I’m worth but not too much so that I don’t lose any clients.
