What's your business, and who are your customers?
I make handmade goat milk soaps using my own goat's milk on our farm in Surprise, AZ. Our customers are everyone of any age, from babies to adults, especially those who have skin sensitivities.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a mother of 2 girls and a stepmom to 5 boys, and a grandma to 3 babies. I have worked in the medical field for over 12 years now. I started making goat milk soaps because I have skin sensitivities. After seeing my skin feel better after using my goat milk soaps, I then started making more for family and friends. They were amazed by how their skin felt afterward, so I decided to start selling to the public. Knowing that I can help other people with their skin sensitivity motivates me to keep moving forward with my soap-making routine.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is hearing how my soaps have helped others feel comfortable in their own skin.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is marketing. I wish there was a button that I could push to let the world know my goat milk soaps are so beneficial to everyone and ones that suffer from skin sensitivity.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The top three tips are to know what you're passionate about and run with it and never look back. You can achieve anything you put your heart into. And, love, love what you do, and you will see everything will fall into place.
