What's your business, and who are your customers?
We make all-natural salves similar to those that have been made for thousands of years. Science and research prove they increase circulation and lymph flow, which reduces inflammation and takes away the pain. They help with joint pain, arthritis, acne, allergies, dry skin, eczema, rashes, cuts, bruises, chapped lips, and the list goes on! Hundreds of people have given testimonials as to their effectiveness. Anyone using them will perform better and recover faster, whether they are athletes or just working around the house.
Our customers are many and varied. Some have done years of work to improve their lives. Others have grown disheartened with western healthcare, and their intuition tells them there exists something better than what they have been offered. Most of our customers aren’t looking for a pill, an easy fix, or a metabolic disruptor that they will pay for in the long term. Our saves are oily, and there is no way to make them with the same strength where they are not oily. Oily is not convenient. Our customers are conscious people working to make their lives better. Our products are not for everyone.
Tell us about yourself
VanCoction is a husband and wife team of Vanessa and Albert Wilking. We started seeing how western healthcare poisoned people, and both of us had been poisoned. The symbol of western healthcare, the Caduceus, the two snakes coiled around a central pole, means mercury. Western healthcare has been in the business of administering mercury or some other poison for hundreds of years and then treating the symptoms of the poisoning.
We have people from all over using our salve and are seeing the benefits almost instantly. Seeing people get relief in front of us has been an incredible motivator. We have people calling telling us how good they feel, how their skin is glowing, how they are able to move around better, and that the pain is gone!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Watching our business grow by helping people feel better with an all-natural product. We take the time to tell people why the salves work, knowing that our customers understand why they work.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Attention to detail. We make sure everything is done well, but we also get great satisfaction from it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do what you love, and the money will follow.
- Don’t plan—just work. Just start doing it, or it will never get off the back burner or out of the planning stage.
- Make time to take time off.
