What's your business, and who are your customers?

As a mindset, money breakthrough business coach for women entrepreneurs, I assist my clients in overcoming confusion, frustration, and overwhelm in both their businesses and personal lives, empowering them to confidently build sustainable and profitable businesses so they can live victorious lives.

Tell us about yourself

I started my coaching business 14 years ago at the prompting of five women whom I helped lead on their journey to creating better lives and fulfilling their dreams. They suggested I look into a career in coaching. I had no idea what coaching was or how to get started. I did my due diligence and found a coaching certification program that aligned with my beliefs and values. I became a certified Christian Life Coach, and that began my journey of helping women be the best version of themselves. In the next iteration of my business, I discovered that I had a passion for helping women create beyond epic lives and successful businesses. During this discovery, I also learned that a major element of living a victorious life and operating a successful business is developing a growth mindset. As a result of working with me, my clients developed unstoppable confidence, clarity, and faith to take bigger leaps to create the success they desired.

At the time of this transition, my business coach suggested that I move into business coaching with a specialty in mindset. Honestly, I was hesitant to take her advice. Ok, really, honestly, I was kicking and screaming, "I don't want to be a business coach." But the truth was, I had a strong desire to help women create their own economy so they didn't have to be dependent on anyone. This desire came from my experience as a struggling single Mom for years. I had a strong support system with my family, but I wanted to be successful and a provider for my daughter in my own rights. What I knew for sure was there were other women who felt the same way, and I wanted to help them. So, I made the shift and became the business coach I was created to be. And let me say; I absolutely love what I do.

I became certified as a Les Brown Coach-Trainer-Speaker and a Sacred Money Archetype Coach. Because I have built a successful coaching business and created a victorious life, I can help others do the same. I'm a true believer that if you want to accomplish something, find someone who has done it and can teach you to do it.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is staying the course and building a successful business. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, and it's not the easiest career path, but it is rewarding and fulfilling.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

For me, one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is the unwavering belief that you can be successful. I won't sugarcoat it; entrepreneurship can be challenging. Every day I wake up with this huge enthusiasm to serve others and a multitude of new ideas of how to serve. At times I want to implement way too many things simultaneously, and that can cause overwhelm. There's a 'stop & go' feeling that I get that causes me to be excited one minute and doubtful the next. So, my daily work is to feed my mind with the things that will align with my dreams and feed my soul. It's a daily practice, and it can be challenging, but it is necessary.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a clear vision for what you want in a business and what you want that business to provide for you.
  2. Be brave and ask for help. No one builds an empire alone.
  3. Have fun! Don't create a glorified job. Create a business you love that involves doing what you love.
