Meal Plans Perfect for Any Lifestyle - We've Got You Covered

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food and beverage but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Audrey Heine, Owner of We've Got You Covered LLC, located in Mesa, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We've Got You Covered is a meal prep company that specializes in semi-customized ready-to-heat and-eat meals. We also offer family meals, chicken salad, and fresh juice. We cater to anyone that eats. We feed toddlers to retirees. I also own and operate a commercial kitchen called Blessed Adventures Shared Kitchen. We use it for our meal prep company and also rent time and space for other businesses looking for a kitchen.

Tell us about yourself

I was a stay-at-home mom for 25 years. I started my company in 2012 and then stopped pretty quickly as it took up much of my time. I got divorced in 2016 and restarted my company back up. From there, it just took off. I have also recently started another LLC and built my own commercial kitchen, Blessed Adventures Shared Kitchen. I feel as though most of my life, I have lived as a wife and mom. Now it's my time. I am doing this for me. I also want to build a legacy for my kids, to show them it's not too late at any age to start a new adventure in life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I really had never worked a job, and once I was divorced, instead of breaking down, I leveled up. It took a ton of asking questions, looking things up, and figuring it out as I went. I now have 4 employees. We also love to donate meals to those in need. We currently are providing meals to group homes for foster kids.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I would have to say the daily grind and staying motivated. There are days that just are so overwhelming that you just don't think you can do it anymore. But then I would realize it's all up to me how this thing is going to go, so I get up and show up for myself every day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Oh wow, definitely be in a good headspace. If you don't have your reason down, the motivation won't be there. Stay with it. Nothing happens overnight. Just when you think all is lost up, it goes, and it gives you the boost you need to get to the next day, week, or month. And lastly, nothing is a sure thing until it's a sure thing. That I have learned early on. There are many things out there that present themselves, and you get all excited and think, OMG, I've made it now, then it crumbles and goes away to never happen. Take each opportunity that comes your way with a grain of salt, don't get too excited, and that way, the disappointment won't crush you.
