Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Brandy Myers, founder of WildPhlower Wellness, located in Sacramento, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

WildPhlower Wellness is a self-love/self-care company focusing on wellness, coping skills, and stress management through positive psychology, strengths-based development, and interactive wellness.

Tell us about yourself

I am a Veteran, Author, and Self-Love/Self-Care Specialist. I have worked as a respiratory therapist in the Air Force for eight years. After working so close to death as a respiratory therapist and deploying to Iraq & Afghanistan for so long, I developed PTSD. I began my journey to wellness to manage my PTSD, depression, and anxiety, and WildPhlower Wellness was born. WildPhlower was created from a call to action in my own life to grow every day in every way. I am motivated to help others the same way I helped myself to cope with and manage my mental health. I am motivated to help others every day because it ultimately helps me and my mental health.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was becoming an author and filmmaker. Since the inception of WildPhlower, I have written 'Warring 2 Wellness Mindset', which is my personal testimony from a warring mindset of PTSD and depression to a mindset of wellness and self-love.

I have also completed a wellness and personal development workbook called 'The Breaks', which is a 4-phase process to break the cycle of hopelessness and helplessness in our lives through self-love and care. Lastly, I am proud to have also finished my self-love/self-care documentary, 'Hope Dealer.' Stretching myself and creating has been my biggest accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest things that come with being a business owner are promoting and getting your brand out there.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Follow your passion and what you are already connected to. Success will not happen overnight. It will take hard work and dedication. Live every day in your purpose, and you will uncover your personal power.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Join us for our 1st annual grounding retreat in Mt Shasta on September 24, 2022. This is a day trip filled with self-love/self-care, grounding, waterfall meditation, guided nature walk, etc., to unplug from the chaos and dysfunction that is life. More information is available on my website.
