What's your business, and who are your customers?

Woah is the best tasting, affordable cold brew - made from the comfort of your home! Our customers are looking for alternatives to long drive-thrus and overpriced cold brew.

Tell us about yourself

I'm the type of person who can't do anything without getting coffee first - specifically cold brew! My first (and third) job as a high school and college student was as a barista at local coffee shops. I immediately fell in love with coffee and have always wanted to start a coffee business since then.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We just relaunched on July 11th, 2022, with a total rebrand! I'm extremely proud of this rebrand because it fits the personality we are going for way better.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In the early days, the hardest part is balancing EVERYTHING—website, fulfillment, email, SMS, social media, branding, customer service, etc. As we have grown, the hardest part is growing at the right pace and trying to add more expenses (fulfillment, new employees, new software, etc.) at the right time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just get started. Woah is my 5th business (2 failures, 2 still running). I've talked to many people who work on their ideas forever but never actually launched them. Get your product live as quickly as possible, then get customer feedback and evolve. It won't be perfect at launch, and that's okay!
  2. A great way to find pain points your customers have is to search a competitor's product on Amazon and read their 1-3 star reviews.
  3. Have fun! It's easy to get stressed and burnt out. Don't forget why you started!
