Tell us about yourself

After visiting a spa in New York City, I felt there was a great need for a new type of spa that was more of an experience than just a service. I think if you need to be motivated, you're in the wrong business. I enjoy the smiles of our guests and feel blessed that I have the opportunity to serve them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We are the most highly-rated day spa in New York State. We are the only spa with 1700 plus Five-star reviews and were Awarded the #1 Day Spa in New York City by the International Spa and Beauty Awards.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

You're working 70 hours a week, week after week. There is no way around hard work.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Provide a compelling service or product that is not just marginally better but extraordinarily better than the competition.
  2. If you're in it for the money, you should not be in business.
  3. Hire a great team. You can't do it all alone. Love your team and keep them happy.
  4. Create good systems and processes that are relatively easy to follow for business consistency.
