What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a high-end Day Spa in New York City. We offer services such as massages, facials, waxing, laser, scrubs, and mani-pedi. Our customers are mostly women between 25-60.
Tell us about yourself
After visiting a spa in New York City, I felt there was a great need for a new type of spa that was more of an experience than just a service. I think if you need to be motivated, you're in the wrong business. I enjoy the smiles of our guests and feel blessed that I have the opportunity to serve them.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We are the most highly-rated day spa in New York State. We are the only spa with 1700 plus Five-star reviews and were Awarded the #1 Day Spa in New York City by the International Spa and Beauty Awards.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
You're working 70 hours a week, week after week. There is no way around hard work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Provide a compelling service or product that is not just marginally better but extraordinarily better than the competition.
- If you're in it for the money, you should not be in business.
- Hire a great team. You can't do it all alone. Love your team and keep them happy.
- Create good systems and processes that are relatively easy to follow for business consistency.
