What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hi there! I'm a business lawyer, blogger, and coach behind, where I help entrepreneurs legally protect their online businesses with my affordable legal templates and coaching services.

My ideal customer is an online entrepreneur (such as a blogger, coach, freelancer, digital marketer, and anyone with an online business). After watching my dad's business get sued for $90,000 for a legal mistake that could have been avoided with a proper legal contract, I decided to become a lawyer to help other entrepreneurs avoid costly legal mistakes in their businesses. Starting a business online is hard, but getting it right can be even harder. Most of the time, we spend hours or days looking for the right legal documents to protect our websites and businesses. This leads to us making mistakes that cost us money in lost opportunities, time wasted on bad advice from non-professionals, and worst of all - risking our hard-earned reputation by not taking steps to protect ourselves. That's why I have put together affordable legal bundles and templates to help you create your legal documents without hiring an expensive lawyer or spending countless hours researching what you need (and more importantly, what you don't need).

With my comprehensive Legal Bundle's easy step-by-step process, anyone can have their own legally binding contracts within minutes! Plus, all the templates are written by a lawyer, giving you the peace of mind you deserve, and come with lifetime free updates!

Tell us about yourself

After ten years of working as a business lawyer working one-on-one with clients, I realized that my time was limited and that I could only help a few people per day. But I wanted to help A LOT more people and make a bigger impact. So I decided to take my legal and business expertise into the online space and started my company, A Self Guru, where I could publish helpful free blog posts on legal and business topics as well as provide tons of valuable legal resources that entrepreneurs need. I also created affordable Done-For-You legal templates that business owners can easily use to legally protect themselves from lawsuits like the one my father faced. This way, I can help THOUSANDS of entrepreneurs save time and money, and my biggest motivation each day is receiving love notes like, "Amira, you are a lifesaver; your legal templates are the best investment for my business," OR "Your legal templates help me sleep better at night knowing my business is legally protected," OR "your legal templates saved me tons of time and money, and didn't break my wallet." We receive hundreds of customer testimonials and love notes like this daily, many of which are also featured on my website and social media. To me, this is the best motivation ever, and I love knowing that my products and services positively impact people's lives.

If you're feeling stuck, unsure about what legal documents you need for your business, or just want to save time and money on getting your legal docs done, I encourage you to visit my website and see how my products can help you!

Do you have daily rituals for work / wellness / fitness / mindfulness?

One of my daily rituals before starting work is meditation. I find that taking a few minutes to clear my mind and focus on my breath helps me to start the day with a sense of calm and clarity. It also allows me to set intentions for the day ahead.

Throughout the workday, I make sure to take regular breaks and move my body. Whether it's going for a walk outside or doing some stretching exercises at my desk, taking breaks helps me to stay energized and focused.

After work, I have a ritual of journaling. This allows me to reflect on my day, express gratitude, and release any lingering stress or tension. It's also a great way for me to track my progress and set goals for the future.
In terms of wellness, I make sure to prioritize self-care practices such as getting enough sleep, eating nourishing foods, and staying hydrated. I also enjoy incorporating essential oils, aromatherapy, and herbal teas into my daily routine for added relaxation and rejuvenation.

As for fitness, I have a regular workout schedule that includes a mix of strength training, cardio, and yoga. This not only helps me maintain my physical health but also boosts my mood and mental well-being.

Overall, these daily rituals have become essential for my overall well-being and productivity. They help me maintain a healthy work-life balance and keep me grounded in the present moment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

There are many, but here are a few that come to mind:

  1. Being able to help 50,000 entrepreneurs legally protect their business with my legal templates and coaching services is a big accomplishment that I never take for granted!
  2. The ability to make $78,000 in a single month from my online business, which then allowed me to quit my 9-to-5 job as a lawyer and become a full-time entrepreneur.
  3. Being interviewed by Ticker News and featured in over 200 media outlets to share my business and legal expertise to help others.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

There are a lot of things that are hard about being a business owner, but one of the hardest things is making sure that you have a good work/life balance. It can be really easy to get caught up in work and let your personal life fall by the wayside, but it's important to make sure that you take time for yourself and your family. If you don't have a good work/life balance, it can be really easy to burn out and even resent your business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The first tip is to ensure that your business is legal and that your website complies with all the different laws and regulations so you don't face any legal audits or problems. Make certain that proper legal pages and documents are in place from the start. It's always a good idea to set a strong legal foundation from the beginning to avoid any costly issues in the future.

Second, create a detailed business plan that includes your business goals and objectives and how you plan on achieving them. This will help keep you focused and on track as you grow your business.

Finally, always be prepared to adapt and change as your business grows. Things will never go exactly as planned, so it's important to be flexible and willing to adjust your plans as needed. The best businesses are always evolving and growing, so don't be afraid to change things if it means improving your business.
