What's your business, and who are your customers?

Admission Highway is the brainchild of two physical therapists, Drs. Catrina Shaw and LaDarius “LD” Woods. The vision of Admissions Highway is to assist our future colleagues on their path to becoming Physical Therapists.

Tell us about yourself

While in Physical Therapy School, both Catrina and LD, as well as many of their peers, dealing with the challenges of successfully applying and being admitted to Physical Therapy School. Upon graduating and becoming active in the interviewing process of their alma mater, they further realized the need to help future Physical Therapy School applicants fully understand and negotiate the application process.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Our greatest accomplishment thus far has been helping others gain access to physical therapy school. We take great pride in the small role we play in helping our client's dreams become a reality.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest aspect of being a business owner thus far has been successfully reaching our target audience.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Keep going; no one else can do and/or provide the service(s) that you provide.
  2. Social media is a way of life. Either figure it out or find someone who can manage and/or run your social media accounts.
  3. You are your own competition. Run the race at your own pace, and be careful not to compare your business journey to anyone else.
