What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I believe, if you ask any business owner, the majority of them will tell you how proud they are to have built a business that benefits others. To me, it's exactly that: providing individual & team coaching and training services to those individuals and organizations that struggle to communicate, to work collaboratively, to understand how they make their best impact in their world and how to maximize it!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It's all the things you need to learn and are unaware of when you start a business: the business side of things! I started with knowing what services I could provide through my trainer, facilitator, and coach lens. But a business is not just the specialization you have. It's also about, well, the business! Having said that, I had to hone my skills in online marketing, sales, basic accounting, contracts, and legal requirements. That has been both challenging and enriching!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be clear on your purpose, mission, vision & values.
  2. Know what you can offer - have one offer to start with - and promote it.
  3. Learn the business side of things so you set up your processes.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

My business mantra is 'It's All Personal; nothing is just business. Because it's all about how you manage the relationship with yourself (intra-personal) and how you manage your relationships with others (inter-personal), business is all about relationships. So it is All Personal.
