Tell us about yourself
I started my business following a racist incident when a manager told me that she found me threatening because I am black, a woman, and intelligent, and she was going to block me. I decided that no one would ever speak to me like that again; I am a sovereign being and will not be diminished by what others think of me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been honored three times by the late Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11, for my work. Received three honorary doctorates, and I coach senior civil servants in U.K. Goverment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Choosing the right time to scale up or scale down a business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be passionate about your business. Deliver your highest quality at all times. Under-promise and over-deliver.
