Tell us about yourself

I'm a California native with a combination of creativity and very entrepreneurial. Opening my own original fashion company was a childhood dream, and as I got older, I focused on realizing and visualizing this to fruition. After graduating from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in film and TV, I launched Blue Violet.

What motivates me every day is living a meaningful and truly authentic life. This business is a passion and a true labor of love, it aligns with my passion, and I've learned tremendously from experience ♥️.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Last year I was awarded the Woman of Business Award of 2022 by the Chamber of Commerce, which I am a member of also. Opening and operating a storefront on my own and diversifying the business, and pushing it forward as an online e-commerce shop, I feel one of the biggest accomplishments was I was able to detach the fixed idea I had about what the business would look like and open up to new opportunities and possibility, it was in doing that the business grew and found more success.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Finding truly effective marketing strategies in a market that can also be saturated. A big challenge is finding the balance of tenacity and also being able to let go and let the business take shape in different directions for it to succeed. It's that openness in the business where the magic happens and meets your hardworking focus and passion.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a very focused vision.
  2. Be truly passionate about the type of business you are presenting.
  3. Find the balance of flexibility and diligence, you'll need both to push your ideas to great heights, and that's the grand adventure of it all.
