Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Celia Arias, Founder of Chella Industries, located in East Marion, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a business growth strategist. I help frustrated entrepreneurs triple their revenue while regaining their time and living the life they've been dreaming of. How? By exposing hidden business blocks, creating custom roadmaps that are rooted in clients' entrepreneurial strengths, and helping them address their areas of weakness.

Tell us about yourself

I've been an entrepreneur since I was 11. I've had many businesses and worked for startups and corporate. I love everything about business and how it truly is a journey to becoming who we want to be in this world. I left my full-time coaching job when I realized it was not sustainable for a healthy life and growing my family and that there was no intention on the company's side to change that. I now use all of my own frameworks and tools to help business owners make money and get their life back.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've surpassed my own revenue goals while delivering a product I absolutely love, and I have walked many of my clients over the 7-figure line just in the past year.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Using your own skills for yourself. We often don't do for ourselves what we do for others, and that can be a hard pill to swallow. Also, decision fatigue if you don't have a proper support system and balance your time and life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do NOT skip the basics. Make sure you understand the cost of delivering your product so you offer something out in the market that will actually be profitable for you. Sounds basic, but many people skip it.
  2. Take your time to do product market fit. Don't obsess about the perfect product, and create it all in your head. Conduct interviews, get to know your customer, and make sure you are building something that speaks to their pain points.
  3. The way to growth comes from actually tracking your efforts, and we all like to skip this part. Start tracking now what works and what doesn't work, and you'll be ahead of the curve. (Contact me for access to my sheets on this for support).
