What's your business, and who are your customers?
We offer medically tested, general wellness products that are backed and developed in conjunction with medical professionals. Sinus, Brain Health, Immune Support, Weight Loss, and alternative wellness are all categories we are very actively involved with.
Tell us about yourself
I was a three-sport athlete until about 14 when I told my Dad I was done with Baseball. He said great, now you’re a business owner (he bought me equipment and got me started mowing 290 yards a week). I truly learned more from him, mowing yards and helping clients, than I did in my MBA program. Having been a college-level athlete and business owner from a young age, I think I was engrained with a passion for excelling and achieving goals. I also have developed a love for reading and learning from others that have achieved success, which motivates me to create the same type of success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having started and stayed in business for over 20 years. Surviving hard times and staying motivated and engaged during the good times.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me is how to allocate time and resources to stay focused on what creates the most value for the company and stakeholders. It is so easy to get distracted and chase things that appear to be golden and which are often time and resource wasters.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find or develop something that solves problems or creates value for potential customers.
- Learn how to communicate the benefits and values of your products in a cost-effective way to potential clients.
- Be patient and persistent. Rome was not built in a day, and many businesses are not an overnight success. I love the saying an overnight success that took ten years.
