What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help motivated women overcome chronic gut issues, increase their energy, and decrease anxiety by creating healthy habits that honor God.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a just mid-life woman/mama who spent most of my adult life getting a lot of things wrong. I'm a 46-year-old wife, a mom of 3 (25, 22, and 5), and a Grandma to 3 (6, 1). I had my 3rd baby at 42, and my hormones and postpartum anxiety spiraled out of control. That's when I realized how much women truly struggle with so many things. Gut issues, hormonal issues, mindset….all the things. On top of all the other responsibilities, we have as women and moms. I also didn't realize how much women are "not heard" or "dismissed" because of these symptoms that are very real - and not "just in our heads." And we don't need just another pill to make us "less anxious." We need to feel seen and heard. Validated.

For many women, some of these symptoms are debilitating and affect their quality of life. I feel sure most women would rather be laughing and playing with their families and not hiding in the bathroom crying - most of the time, not even understanding it themselves. I personally woke up one day and decided I was taking back control of my life. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. It was in that moment that I knew I couldn't do it alone. While I have been a Christian, inviting Jesus into my health and wellness walk was something I had honestly never thought of. So now I try to walk with Jesus daily, truly put Him first, and invite Him into every part of my life. And when I started doing those things. Having faith in things I could not see, could not control. I gained a sense of peace I can't even begin to explain. For me, that has to come first. It gave me the strength, discipline, and wisdom - to make changes related to my gut and overall mental health. I could go on and on about this - God wants us to take care of our bodies. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, "Do you now know that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells In you?" Our bodies are holy, and God wants us to take care of them.

So why am I so passionate about helping women? I truly believe that physical, mental, and spiritual health go hand in hand. Because I was brought out of the darkness and into the light - and I have never had more energy, more mental clarity, and more peace.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishments come with every client win, big or small. Women deserve to feel their best, but with all of the information out there, it can be very overwhelming. Helping them look at themselves from a holistic view and focus on physical, spiritual, and mental health is such a huge part of healing.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

All of the tedious tasks that you have to get done behind the scenes.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Research and find an amazing coach and mentor that resonates with you. You will know when you have found the right one.
  2. Start before you are ready. You can work out the kinks as you go.
  3. Get out of your own way and don't tell yourself that you can't do it.
