Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sherianna Boyle, Founder of Emotional Detox Coaching, located in West Barnstable, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Emotional Detox Coaching® People who overthink, worry, and maintain their emotions by doing too much.

Tell us about yourself

I was an overachiever and people pleaser, and I had a habit of trying to manage everyone else's emotions to keep the peace. What motivates me today is learning. I learn so much from working with clients, writing books, and discovering new ways to create inner peace and happiness. The success of my clients and seeing a shift in their perception just from teaching them how to process what they feel is amazing to me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The Cleanse Method® I developed. It is a seven-step mindful system for learning how to process your emotions in ten minutes or less. It has been featured in four of the ten books I have written, including the latest: Energy in Action: The Power of Emotions & Intuition to Cultivate Peace & Freedom. I suppose writing ten books is a pretty big accomplishment as well, but I am going to say the Cleanse Method® is the foundation for Emotional Detox Coaching®.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Saying no, although that is getting easier. You learn quickly you can't do it all. You have to put boundaries in place, especially if you are in it for the long haul, which I am.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Avoid comparing yourself with others. Not everything is as it may seem on the outside. Learn about your business and how it runs. Don't become so reliant on others that you have no clue how things work yourself. Take time to make decisions that will ripple out into other areas of your life. Be sure you have a strong foundation and know what you are good at. This will help you streamline your message and let people know who you are and what you do.
