Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Francine Tirrell, founder of Forever Changed Coaching, LLC., located in Tewksbury, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I work with busy professional women to help build their confidence, shift their mindset, and recognize that their worth is not tied to what they do. They learn to break the cycle of being busy in an effort to feel worthy. They recognize how to quiet the inner critic and the BS stories that they tell themselves.

They put themselves back on their 'to do' list and set boundaries to create the space and healing needed to move forward in their business and their life. I do this through a combination of coaching, consulting, and energy healing work.

Tell us about yourself

In 2010, I was working as a leader in corporate, and I was looking for women to connect with. I found an amazing group that was run by coaches. At the time, I didn't even know what a coach was. I looked into going to coaching school and, for two years, kept talking myself out of it until I just couldn't make any more excuses. After completing my program, I kept telling myself that I couldn't quit my job to coach full time, so I continued to enjoy coaching my employees and a couple of private clients.

In December 2019, the company I was with closed its doors. I continued to look for a full-time job, and then COVID hit us. In April of 2020, someone reached out and asked if I was coaching. I said yes, and that started the journey that I will be forever grateful for. Throughout the same time frame, I also explored energy healing. I learned three different modalities that I incorporate when working with my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say being willing to trust that everything is happening for me. I am not sure if I ever would have quit my job to coach full-time. I joke that I manifested a pandemic because the universe knew the only way to get my attention was to shut down the world. But it worked. I have really learned what it means to surrender and trust, and that is a lot of what I teach my clients.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think it is the unknown. Not knowing where your next client will come from can be scary, and the uncertainty of a consistent salary can be nerve-wracking if you let it be. I also think it can be lonely. I sometimes miss working in a team and sharing ideas with others.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't do it if it is not something that you absolutely love! I believe that if your passion is driving it, you cannot be stopped.
  2. Create a healthy work/life balance.
  3. Be willing to feel uncomfortable - that is where the biggest growth will happen.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I had a story that I could not make the same amount of money as a business owner that I did in corporate. I am on track to prove myself wrong this year!!
